About the seminars

Inspirees and its renowned faculty will be pioneering the training of Expressive Arts Therapists (EAT) in China. Since 2004, Inspirees has been supporting hundreds of individuals and groups enabling them to realize their potential through our inspiring and innovative products, services and training programs. By focusing on a human-centered approach, we intend to break down cultural barriers – bridging East and West, China and the world. We believe in diversity and equality, global dialogue, and cross-region and cross-discipline collaboration among different communities. We are committed to disseminating and sharing knowledge and wisdom for the advancement of humanity.

Working together with colleagues from Eastern and Western countries and approaches, we will develop the form of expressive arts therapy practice that is evolutionary and ground – breaking within this context. Expressive Arts Therapy has emerged since the early 1970’s as the internationally known practice for individuals who are trained and skilled in working with more than one art-form. Expressive Arts Therapy integrates all forms of artistic expression, getting to the source of expression and spontaneity to free creativity and promote wholeness.

The Inspirees Expressive Arts Therapy (EAT) certificate program is a part-time and systematic training program designed towards meeting professional association guidelines. Completion of all 3 modules of coursework and training, plus meeting all other working requirements, including those beyond the training program, leads to the eligibility for application for the REAT- Registered Expressive Arts Therapist credential through IEATA- the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association. The official program will be launched in partnership with JDXL in China in October 2023 when the application and interview process will begin; and the first cohort will start their training in April 2024. Details of the EAT program can be found at https://www.inspirees.com/expressive-arts-therapy-certificate-program/.

We invite you to join us for a series of introductory exploratory lectures and workshops from September 2023 to learn more about this exciting new field. We will utilize an online workshop format that integrates the development and international applicability of these forms with theoretical foundational concepts with experiential learning. Each 2-hour session will incorporate lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and creative engagements including Q&A. Students will explore significant philosophical and theoretical perspectives of expressive therapies in a world-wide and global context and together we will engage in creative thinking and processes devoted to a fusion of eastern and western concepts and approaches.
