Online products of Brepols Publishers https://www.inspirees.com/online-products-of-brepols-publishers/ Tue, 19 Jan 2021 06:58:29 +0000 https://www.inspirees.com/?p=1528

For almost 20 years, Brepols Publishers has been developing high-value databases in the field of Humanities. Since 2001, these databases are available online as well as new resources on a platform called BREPOLiS. As a result, Brepols are proud to offer 20 databases on our website. At the moment, Brepols offers 5 bibliographic databases including more than 1.4 million records, 4 encyclopedias containing over 110,000 articles written by specialists, and 5 Latin full-text databases gathering together more than 5500 key texts (containing 114 million words) for the understanding of the Western civilization.

Brepols has more than 20 databases about the sources of Western civilization and foster better quality in scholarships, which can be accessed on www.brepolis.net. The full catalog can be downloaded at http://www.brepols.net/Pages/Downloads.aspx

One of Brepols’ main fields of interest is Medieval Studies. Brepols have created an unparalleled medieval environment where they bring together key resources for the study of the Middle Ages with bibliographies on the one hand, and with encyclopaedias on the other. The other strength of Brepols lies in the study of Latin Language and Literature as we offer the world’s leading databases in this field. And last but not the least, is the one dedicated to Religious Studies and Church History.

Here, given below, are 3 proposed packages for China universities libraries:

  1. IMB + BCM + LexMA + IEMA – providing the resources of Medieval Studies IMB: International Medieval Bibliography

BCM: Bibliography de Civilisation Medievale LexMA: Lexikon des Mittelalters

IEMA: International Medieval Encyclopedia

  1. BBIH – providing the resources of British and Irish History BBIH: Bibliography of British and Irish History
  2. Rhe:bibliographie + Dictionnaire d’Histoire et de Geographie– providing the resources of Church Studies

Rhe:bibliographie: Bibliographie de la Revue Ecclesiastique + Dictionnaire d’Histoire et de Geographie Ecclesiatique(optional)

Most of these databases have become unequaled resources in their respective discipline. Not content with having developed such tools, Brepols are still working to further improve these databases and to make new tools available to the international community of scholars. That’s why they can say more than ever that Brepols are…

The focus is on reporting and discussing perspectives, theory based application, and practical results between the West and the East – particularly China and its neighboring cultures.  The journal supports cross-disciplinary dialogue, cooperation, and research between creative arts (creative writing, dance/movement, drama, film, music, and the visual arts) and education, therapy, psychology, medicine, and other related fields.

CAET invites research articles, case reports, program descriptions, position papers, interviews, and conference reports relevant to the field. We also welcome books for review consideration. Manuscripts are subject to a peer review process before being accepted and published. Contributions are to be in English and will be published with bilingual abstracts: English and Chinese. CAET Webinar Series https://www.inspirees.com/caet-webinar-series/ Mon, 18 Jan 2021 11:35:43 +0000 https://www.inspirees.com/?p=1474
Following the success of our webinar series Laban – History, Applications and Frontiers, which was launched in 2017 and which has attracted  a worldwide audience, we will present a second series titled “Creative Arts Education and Therapy – History, Applications and Frontiers”. We invite some of the most influential and promising educators and therapists to deliver online presentations. This year-long program aims at bringing  professionals in the field of arts education and therapy  together throughout the world, to stimulate a critical dialogue, and facilitate networking to strengthen our profession, in line with the mission of the Inspirees and CAET.

The whole series has 7 modules in  education and therapy, related to different art forms of music, drama, dance, expressive art, poetry, and play. Each module consists of 4-8 seminars. Every seminar is of one hour duration, including 40-45 minutes of lecture plus a 15-20 minutes long Q&A session. All sessions are recorded (live), so as to be available for future instruction and learning. Towards this end,  we have recruited a team to support the technical and logistic aspects of the sessions.

In the meantime, with our Laban series‘s finale at Dec 2018. The CAET series, consisting of 30 plus webinars, launched in December 2018 and will run through 2021. From these webinar presenters, we will eventually select the speakers for the CAET World Forum, held live in Europe and China. In addition, the revenues from this webinar series will be used to sponsor open access publishing of our CAET journal and the academic conferences in China and Europe.

For this event, we also invite and select  interested institutions to be the event partners in this elite club. The partnership is free of charge and your institution’s name and web link will be listed on the event pages. Everybody Is a Body https://www.inspirees.com/everybody-is-a-body/ Mon, 18 Jan 2021 08:08:22 +0000 https://www.inspirees.com/?p=1426

Movement connects us all.  All of us are  moving, all of the time. The moving body is the foundation of human activity. In a world where technological advancement allows for instant global connections, we are becoming increasingly disembodied. This gives rise to “dis-ease” in our physical, emotional and intellectual selves. This book promotes increased awareness of the power and potential of human movement. It takes into account personal uniqueness, as well as the universal aspects of what it means to be human. This is a book for ‘every’ ‘body’. In order to experience life to its fullest, it is important to keep in touch with our moving selves. It is not a “how-to” book. We are not advocating a specific movement technique or practice. It is about re-discovering that you are a mover and that movement is not just an activity. Our movement is the expression of ourselves in the world.

The Chinese edition of Everybody is a Body is translated and published by Inspirees International Publishing. It is distributed in China via China Educational Book Import and Export Company. The book is used by many Chinese researchers and teachers in universities.
