23/01/12  Inspirees represents UNESCO Publishing and Iberoamericana in China

Inspirees has reached agreement with UNESCO Publishing and Iberoamericana Editorial Vervuert to represent exclusively the two publishers in Great China (mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao).

About UNESCO Publishing

UNESCO Publishing is the publishing arm of UNESCO with over 60 years of publishing.  It publishes more than 50 titles a year with 10,000 titles in the backlist.  Its publishing focusing area is History of Humanity, General History of Africa, History of Civilizations of Central Asia , General History of the Caribbean, Historia General de América Latina and Aspects of Islamic Culture.  Its titles have been translated into 80 languages so far.

About Iberoamericana Editorial Vervuert

Iberoamericana Editorial Vervuert, a publishing house and bookstore, was founded in 1975 in Frankfurt, Germany. It now also has office in Madrid and Mexico. The publisher focuses on academic books about Latin America and Spain in the areas of, History and Criticism of Spanish-Language Literature, History and Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Politics and Social Science and Art.  It publishes more than 80 new books every year and has a backlist of near 700 titles. Besides publishing, Iberoamericana also co-distributes some 6,000 academic titles in Spanish every year which will be also added to the Inspirees distribution list from 2012.  This will further strengthen our portfolio in Spanish.

We are very pleased to have UNESCO Publishing and Iberoamericana join us which enables Inspirees to offer over 10,000 new specialist titles and 100,000 backlist titles in 38 languages from our publishers every year to China.  With Inspirees Approval Plan Online platform to be launched in 2012, we believe we can offer more professional and comprehensive services to our library customers in China.

 

18/01/12  Inspirees NewBooks Services launched online platform

NEWBOOKS Services, the leading metadata vendor of specialist publications in German speaking countries and other European regions and Inspirees International, a specialist for foreign publisher services in China, have formed a strategic partnership to develop and present INSPIREES NEWBOOKS Online (INO™), a full-service package that is specifically designed for the Chinese market. Academic and specialist publishers are offered the opportunity to present their brand and publication program to the major libraries, over 570 state-owned publishers and thousands of private publishing houses in China.

Approval Plan Online is the core service component of INO™. The sophisticated platform features subject-specific and comprehensive bilbiographic data, a bilingual interface (Chinese/English), stock alignment and user-friendly search functionality. It channels targeted and continuous purchase recommendations of our participating publisher's frontlists to library customers such as the National Library of China (NLC).

Our expertise in bibliographic data handling in combination with a strong local presence and wide network open up the chance for participating publishers to secure easy and effective access to the distinctive Chinese book market.

Hanser has signed a distribution agreement with Inspirees to represent its whole portfolio in China (including Hong Kong). Hanser is a prestigious name in the German publishing scene, respected by authors, booksellers and readers alike. Hanser products stand for high quality in content and presentation, versatility and topicality of the subjects.

 

12/09/10  Inspirees chosen as event partner for BIBF 2011

Inspirees has been selected by BIBF to be the event partner for BIBF 2011.  While the Netherlands will be put in the spotlight next year as the country of honor, Inspirees will position itself in a wider spectrum for 2011 and years later: the bridge of West and East. 

Inspirees/ECPPC is now representing publishers from 13 countries at this moment, which reflects a great diversity of cultures.  This is the uniqueness we can offer to BIBF!  Besides, small and medium-sized publishers will be one of the focuses from 2011 on.  A great opportunity for our publishers!

Inspirees Bowen International Technology Co. Ltd. is set up on Dec 16, the affiliated company of Inspirees International B.V.  This upgrades our presence in China with its former representative office in Beijing, and enable us to provide better and more flexible services to our clients.
